Drosera paradoxa or petiolaris-complex'

Sundew of the petiolaris complex need very hot, humid and lots of direct sun during the summer. This is the period in which they grow the most. In winter they keep to 18 degrees and slow down growth. Better to keep them with artificial lamps and during this dormancy period you leave the pot almost completely dry, otherwise the plant could rot.

Watering

Keeps the plant well wet. To make it really easy, a saucer with ideally distilled water can be placed under the plant. Complete this immediately as soon as it is empty.

Pitch

Place the Drosera in a light spot. When the plant loses its dew, this is an indication that the plant needs a higher humidity. Move the plant to a more humid environment or place a glass over it.

Of the Droseras in our current range, the Drosera filiformis, nidiformis and binata are all hardy. For the rest this does not apply and they must be brought inside before the start of winter.

Fertilizer

The Drosera does not need fertilizer.
